·
The 1-Hr
Standard is the legal and enforceable EPA standard for ozone and an exceedance
occurs at .125 ppm or higher.
·
The standard is violated if the average number of 1-Hr exceedances, at any one monitor over
a 3-year period of time – is greater than one.
·
All monitors in the Tulsa area are
currently in compliance with the 1-hr ozone standard,
with the 3-year average number of exceedances at the Skiatook (1999 – 2001)
equaling exactly one.

violation of the 8-hr standard.
·
8 Ozone
Alert! Days were called. (15 Ozone
Alerts called 2000 season)
·
One
exceedance of the 1-hour ozone standard – the Keystone Monitor on July 26th. Since
the Skiatook monitor did not have a 1-hour exceedance this year, the area is
once again in compliance with the enforceable NAAQS for ozone. The 2000 season totaled
four (4) 1-hour exceedances (3 at Skiatook monitor and 1 at Glenpool)
·
The 8-hour
health-based and non-enforceable standard for ozone was exceeded on 7 days
during the season for a total of 12 separate 8-hour exceedances. (There were 10 days and 15 separate 8-hour
exceedances last year)
